Triple Chocolete Mousse Cake - Non Vegan

I saw this recipe and I couldnt resist adding it in.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable-oil cooking spray
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Individual Chocolate Mousse
  • 2 ounces solid semisweet chocolate

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place eight 6-ounce (3 1/2-inch diameter) ramekins on a rimmed baking sheet, and coat with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Stir flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer. Attach bowl to mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add egg, milk, oil, vanilla, and 1/4 cup water; mix on medium-low speed until smooth and combined, about 3 minutes.
  3. Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins. Bake until a cake tester inserted into the centers comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack; let cool completely. Run a knife around sides of cakes; unmold. Cakes can be refrigerated, wrapped in plastic, up to 1 day.
  4. Trim each cake to 1 inch high. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut eight 10 3/4-by-4-inch strips of parchment paper. Wrap a parchment collar around base of each cake, keeping bottom flush with baking sheet. Secure each collar with tape; set aside.
  5. Transfer bittersweet-chocolate mousse to a large pastry bag fitted with a large round tip (such as Ateco #808). Pipe a 1-inch layer of mousse into each parchment collar. Refrigerate until mousse is set, about 20 minutes. Repeat with milk chocolate mousse, piping on top of the bittersweet chocolate mousse. Refrigerate at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
  6. Microwave semisweet chocolate until slightly warm but not melted, about 30 seconds. Scrape at a 45-degree angle with a vegetable peeler, forming curls. Before serving cakes, remove parchment collars, and garnish with chocolate curls.

Yummy!!!

Food for thought and positive thinking quotes

I was sitting here right before getting ready for bed and I came to realize how much negativity there is in the world but by focusing on the positive then maybe we can make it a better place. I can't remember where I read this to but I feel like I need to share it with whoever is reading this. Say you smiled at a total stranger on the street, maybe he is walking to work since he got a flat tire but your smile might have made his day, then maybe he comes across an elderly lady who dropped a $100 bill by giving that to her that probably made her day since maybe that is the last bit of money she had and the process continues so it had a chain affect that began with you. Now for some quotes that might help you get through this day:1. Happy thoughts fill your life with happiness 2.Affirm the positive, visualize the positive and expect the positive, and your life will change accordinly. 3. Clear thoughts produce clear results.
4. Postive thinking envokes more energy , more initiative and more energy

The face cleaner, exfoliator, toothpaste, shampoo etc and its ALL VEGAN recipe

When I came across this the first thing that came to mind was that people would think this is either cool or unusual. However I do know for a fact that there must be some vegans out there that just wish that they could find a totally animal free product well here is a recipe for one.

1. For a facewash: use 1 tsp baking soda, and a few drops of water to make a paste. Smooth the mixture over face and rince gently. For an exfoliator, make a thicker paste with a few more drops of baking soda and water. Rub in a circular motion and rinse.

2. For toothpaste: dip toothbrush bristles into baking soda ( salt may be added if you wish) and brush with this every 2-3 days.
For shampoo: Make about 1/2 cup thick paste of baking soda and water.Gently and briefly massage onto scalp and through hair and rinse.

3. For an antacid, mix 1/2 to 1 tsp baking soda with 1 cup of lukewarm water and drink every 3 hrs. until you feel better.

4. Foot soak: 1/4 cup of baking soda to a basin of warm water and soak feet 15 to 30 minutes
Bath soak: Put in 1/4 cup baking soda to the bath

5. Deoderent: Mix with starch ( try rice flour or corn starch 1/2 cup and 1/2

The Spritual Side of Crystals

First of all, I am finally back and will continue to post on a regular basis. I just needed time to myself for personal reasons. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. Until I figured out who I was spiritually I always thought that crystals was just pretty and sometimes very expensive objects that you hold into your hand.  It wasnt until a friend of mine helped me with my spirituality and also got me to see that not only does crystals heal you ( which will be discussed in a different posting) but also that the energy from it helps you spirutally.  People have been using nature and crystals for this purpose long before Christ was born and to this day we continue to use it. People use crystals to keep them safe by wearing it on them, for confidence, love, and some for magickal purposes. In addition some individuals use it to mediate or ground themselves. At the end of this posting I will give you a few sites and books you can read if you wish. A few gemstones that intrested me are:

Amethyst:  Spiritual Awareness,  Meditation, visualization serenity, composure. Attracts good luck and love
Aventurine: It brings balance to intellect emotions & physical being
Garnet: Energizes, revitalizes, and balances energy. It inspires love and devotion. Its known as a "stone of health"
Quartz: empowers and protects by ampifying & focusing energy
Lapis Lazuli: A stone of "protection and enlightment"
Jasper: "Supreme Nuturer" it reminds us why we are here - free ourselves from limiting bonds& bring joy and light into the world.

You can see more gemstones and where I got the ones as mentioned at:

Triquerta: the symbol of my beliefs

When I came across this symbol it actually caught my attention.  It is a spiritual symbol but also an ancient christian one as well.  Knowing that I can wear it and keep my own beliefs now and still remember my past beliefs has helped me through my life.  I am greatly into nature and I am thankful for it everyday, I believe that you dont need a temple etc to praise what is given to us and there should not be any conflict of other peoples religious beliefs.
In the spiritual side it means mind, body and soul or father, mother and child
On the Christian side it means : Father, son, holy spirit.
It is a celtic symbol which is where my ancestery came.  I hope that you enjoy this and please make some suggestions on my wall.

Back on track

After having a chat with a good friend of mine I realized that I was all over the place with this blog. Well that is going to change.  I am a newby at this sort of stuff but from now on I will focus on my spiritual beliefs. Some people would not agree on while others would. I remember people asking me what religious beliefs I am in but as I pointed out that I believe in a number things and I am a very spiritual person. The blogs from now on will show this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Down day but decided to write anyway

For the past two days wasnt very good but I know that the next second, minute, hour, day I could change that.  By writing on this blog helps me most days and maybe it is part of the reason why I am doing it.  For anyone who feels the same ways that I do just remember something that I learned only recently, that there is people who cares and loves you and there are resources out there that will help you.  Also this is a prayer that can help in any situation:

Serientity Prayer

God grant me the serienity to accept the things that I can not change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time, enjoying every moment at a time, accepting hardships as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as he did, in this sinful world; as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that he would make all things right if I surrender to his will. That I may be reasonabily happy in this  life and supremely happy with him. Forever in the next
Amen
By Reinhold Niebuhr

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs3:5-6

Traditional Buddha Prayer for healing
Just as the soft rains fill the streams, pour into the rivers and join together in the oceans; so every moment of your goodness flow forth to awaken and heal all beings those here now, those gone before those yet to come.

By the power of every moment of your goodness may your heart's wishes soon be fullfilled as completely shining as the bright full moon as magically as by  a wish-fulfilling gem.

By the power of every moment of your goodness
May all dangers be averted and all disease be gone
May no obsticle come across your way
May you enjoy fulfillment and long life.

For all who dwells respect
Who follow compassion and wisdom of the Way
May your life prosper in the four blessings
of old age, beauty, happiness and strength

Also, I am so very spiritual that I will include a name that I came across on youtube, please watch her videos and let me know what you think of both of it.
